Zoe is a blogger for Psychology Today (PT), and twice a month we share her blog posts here. Enjoy!
The school year is over, and there’s a good chance you haven’t been thanked for another year’s hard work.
So, I wish to thank you publicly. And by “you,” I mean teachers who provide young people with what is necessary, inspiring, and important for their lives and futures.
I mean teachers who care deeply about children and who empower them, ignite their passions, and help them achieve their dreams.
I mean teachers who demand that students question everything, including what they themselves teach, to ensure that they become the best critical and creative thinkers they can be.
I mean teachers who are passionate about their subjects, and who cannot help but impart that passion.
I mean teachers who educate young people to be solutionaries.
I believe that the greatest hope for our world lies with you.
