
Lori Weir’s professional career spans more than twenty-five years and includes leadership positions in the public and private sectors as well as independent consulting for select large private foundations and small nonprofit organizations. Her life and career have been guided by a drive to use her analytical skills, energy, and background to serve policy-oriented, mission-driven organizations. Her 13+ year career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and her 7+ years of consulting for foundations and nonprofits exemplify this approach, as does her volunteers work in local schools. Lori also served on two IMF missions in China and Vietnam. Lori is known by her peers and clients as a creative, strategic, and analytical thinker and manager who cares deeply about her work and her colleagues, and as a person with innovative ideas as well as a keen attention to detail.
A longstanding advocate for impact investing, Lori believes strongly that mission and profit can now be aligned to a greater extent than ever to improve conditions for the planet and all of its inhabitants. She is passionate about the need to end animal cruelty and to take meaningful steps to reverse climate change. To this end, she also consults on large commercial solar projects.
Lori earned her B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude, and her M.A. in International Relations, with distinction, from The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins.
