UN Report Hopeful for Future

The 2007 State of the Future report, published by the World Federation of UN Associations, notes that the world is becoming more peaceful, more educated, longer living and less poor. The report cited several positives, from lower infant mortality to more people with Internet access to a leveling off of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Enormous challenges continue to include global warming, terrorism and corruption.
