Thanks to the generosity of individuals, foundations, and organizations, The Institute for Humane Education has trained more than 2,000 humane educators, reaching tens of thousands of people around the world, and spread the message of a just, compassionate, sustainable future by helping people tap into their deepest values and make choices that do the most good and least harm for all people, animals and the planet. Our emphasis on the interconnectedness of human rights, animal protection, environmental preservation and media, culture and consumerism has inspired and empowered thousands to use their own skills and interests to find positive solutions that benefit all.

On average, 84 cents of each dollar donated supports our programs and workshops. And, a portion of our administrative expenses support providing relevant information, issues and resources through our website, blog and e-newsletter.
(IHE’s total expenses for 2007 were $288,314.)
