For people who would like to gain expertise in humane education, but who don't wish to pursue the M.Ed. degree, IHE offers a distance-learning Humane Education Certificate Program (HECP). The HECP is similar to, but less academically rigorous than, the M.Ed in Humane Education.

The Institute for Humane Education offers this thorough training and certification program to prepare you to be a humane educator. You'll learn to teach about the most important issues of our time, foster critical thinking, and present complex and sensitive information to students of all ages and backgrounds.
