Bringing an IHE Workshop to Your Community
Bringing an IHE Workshop to Your Community
"There's nothing more rewarding than bringing compassionate people together and witnessing their transformation into humane educators. The positive energy and enthusiasm at a Sowing Seeds workshop is contagious, and participants walk away not only with excitement and passion to teach about humane issues, but with the skills and tools to become successful humane educators. Helping to organize a Sowing Seeds workshop takes work and commitment, but the benefits are tremendous."
~ Dani Dennenberg, Local Organizer of Sowing Seeds San Diego, 2002, 2005
Founder of Seeds for Change Humane Education
"We had fun putting the Sowing Seeds workshop together. It was a labor of love. We all got much more out of it than we put in [and] came away from the experience much more optimistic, re-energized, and focused on what we can do to help make the world a better place. It was well worth it!"
~ Jan Hamilton, Local Organizer of Sowing Seeds Boulder, 2004
Founder of Wilderness Ranch
Sowing Seeds workshops and MOGO (Most Good) workshops are offered frequently, all around the U.S. and occasionally abroad. We are always looking for local organizers who would like to bring the Sowing Seeds and/or MOGO workshops to their regions. To host a Sowing Seeds or MOGO workshop, you need to:
1. Find a space (preferably free) that comfortably seats 75+ people and that ideally is within walking distance of vegan-friendly food.
2. Help attract participants through your local outreach (a minimum of 30 people; 50-70 or more would be ideal).
3. Provide local support for participants and the workshop facilitator.
Organizing a Sowing Seeds or MOGO workshop is a rewarding experience! It will help promote humane education in your community and create a growing network of humane educators and/or people interested in humane living. If you are interested in bringing the Sowing Seeds or MOGO workshops to your region, please review the Local Organizer Information and Workshop Promotion Information and then contact us to ask any questions and/or discuss your interest.
