Our Sowing Seeds Workshop will teach you how to offer effective and transformative humane education programs in schools or your community. You’ll learn new activities that teach critical thinking about relevant issues of human rights, animal protection, environmental preservation, the media, and consumerism.
Sowing Seeds is recommended for educators of all types and those who are considering applying to our M. Ed. or Certificate Program.

Register online for the Student Early Bird Rate: $75
The early bird deadline is February 6, 2009.
After the early bird deadline, rates will increase to $130 (regular) and $95 (student).

The registration fee includes a catered vegetarian/vegan lunch and a copy of Zoe Weil's book The Power and Promise of Humane Education. Registration DOES NOT include housing.

Cancellation policy:
We will refund your registration, minus a $25 administration fee, if you cancel by February 6, 2009. There is no refund for cancellations after that date, but you can make arrangements to send someone else in your place.
Financial aid:
We have 5 financial aid spots available, which will reduce your registration fee to $50-100. To apply for financial aid, please describe in less than 150 words why you would like to attend the Sowing Seeds workshop, and what you can afford to pay. Email your response to sowingseeds@humaneeducation.org, referencing the workshop venue and date. You can expect to receive a response within two business days regarding the availability of financial aid. Thank you!
How to Join Us
Facilitator Kim Korona will lead you through a dynamic, interactive workshop. Kim has been an IHE workshop facilitator since 2006, shortly after graduating with her M.Ed. in Humane Education. She is a humane educator for HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers).
