Join us for a fabulous Sowing Seeds Workshop in Keene, New Hampshire at Antioch University -- New England! Get inspired and learn how to empower others to make informed, humane choices! Learn how to offer effective, transformative humane education programs! Facilitator Freeman Wicklund will lead you through a dynamic, interactive weekend. Freeman has brought humane education to thousands, including through the humane education program that he founded in Minneapolis, Bridges of Respect.

Registration Fee:


The registration fee for this workshop is $125.

There will be no refunds for cancellations after October 26.

The registration fee includes a copy of The Power and Promise of Humane Education by Zoe Weil. Registration DOES NOT include housing.

College credit:
One graduate credit from Antioch is available for an additional $250.

Schedule & Agenda:


The workshop schedule:

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Evening activities: 7:00 - 9:00 pm)
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.


The workshop agenda: 

Each group is unique and we prefer to allow our facilitators the flexibility to best meet the needs of the group, but the basic agenda includes:

Day 1 - Saturday: An introduction to humane education; the "what and why" of humane education; teaching a basic humane education class using the 4 elements; a communication workshop; situational role plays; critical thinking video; and, a reverence building activity. The evening includes the optional viewing of videos relevant to humane education.

Day 2 - Sunday: Includes many activities to bring to a range of educational settings; role plays; reverence building; and, incorporating humane education into your life and work.
