Are you looking for a better way to make change happen? Get away from the downer of the daily headlines and be part of an uplifting experience in the company of other advocates for change! Our one-day Sowing Seeds Workshop at the Waldorf School of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland will educate and inspire you to help create a humane world. Learn new activities to teach about the most important issues of our time, including human rights, animal protection, environmental preservation, media, and consumerism. This workshop is highly recommended for educators of all types and those who are considering applying to our M. Ed. in Humane Education or our Certificate Program. through education.

Regular: $95
Student: $35
The early bird deadline is September 4, 2008.
After the early bird deadline, rates will increase to $125 (regular) and $50 (student).

The registration fee includes lunch and a copy of Zoe Weil's book The Power and Promise of Humane Education. Registration DOES NOT include housing.

Cancellation policy:
We will refund your registration, minus a $25 administration fee, if you cancel by September 4, 2008. There is no refund for cancellations after that date, but you can make arrangements to send someone else in your place.
Financial aid:
We have five financial aid spots available. If you apply for and receive financial aid, the registration fee will be reduced to $50. To apply for financial aid, please download this form and submit it to us as soon as possible. You can expect to receive a response by email within three business days.
How to Join Us
The workshop facilitator is Freeman Wicklund. Freeman first became inspired to do humane education by attending a Sowing Seeds workshop in the mid-1990s. He works with Mercy For Animals in Columbus, Ohio as the Director of Campaigns.

The workshop includes lunch (vegetarian and vegan options), which will be made with organic and local foods where possible.
