Like many other skills, gratitude can be cultivated through attention, effort, and practice.

Studies show that gratitude has a variety of benefits, including helping us be happier, healthier, and more compassionate toward others. As author and sociologist Christine Carter says in her book “The Sweet Spot,” “the key with routine gratitude practices is creativity and novelty.”

Here are just a few strategies we can do in just a few minutes to hone our gratitude skills.

Modeling our message is one of the most powerful ways we have to positively inspire others. Modeling a message of proactive and frequent gratitude benefits us and our efforts to create a better world for all.
