A new year brings new opportunities to bring fresh ideas into educational settings, from classrooms to cafeterias. One of the most invigorating sessions of our fall conference in New York City was a round of “lightning presentations,” four-minute talks, videos and slideshows wherein peers shared how they spread humane education to students, communities and audiences around the world. Enjoy this glimpse (1:13) of Green Maps, giant styrofoam puppets, social issues book clubs and more. You’re bound to see something you want to adapt for your own purposes this year.
